MARCH 2009: READ HOW TO CREATE AN ARTS STIMULUS

The National Endowment for the Arts got 0.006% of the stimulus plan, two orders of magnitude less than the traditional notion of a percent for art. Here is a plan by cWOW Executive Director Ben Goldman that shows how to raise the bar--not only because of the historical precedents and what the arts can do to inspire hope during hard times, but also because innovation and creativity are the future of the U.S. economy. If the arts can’t teach us that, what can? Let’s build a movement! Send us comments on these ideas at info@cwow.org.
