“LOL”, a multi-media exhibition curated by Larry Walczak that explores humor in visual storytelling, has its opening reception on Saturday, March 13, 2010, 6-8pm at City Without Walls (cWOW) main gallery, 6 Crawford Street, Newark, NJ. The exhibition remains on view through May 14, 2010 and is free and open to the public Thursdays through Saturdays 1-6pm.

LOL explores humor in visual story telling. While some of the selected artworks may prompt chuckles, snickers, and even giggles, others will have you laughing out loud. The artists' lives, the role of media, and the recession are dominant themes throughout the exhibition.
Larry Walczak is mixed-media artist and educator who has curated over fifty exhibitions in the greater New York metropolitan area, throughout the United States, and in Europe. Larry recently completed a ten-year curatorial project entitled "eyewash", which was based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. He was a member of City Without Walls’ Board of Directors in the late 1980s. In April, Larry will curate "Brooklyn on Paper" for Mount Airy Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, PA.
