Volunteer/Internship
cWOW's volunteer and internship program provides high school students, college students, and volunteers of all ages with the unique experience of helping to build an exciting not-for-profit artists space in the heart of Newark.
cWOW volunteers and interns gain many practical skills needed to advance careers in the arts and non-profit fields. Volunteer and internship positions are available to assist in every aspect of the gallery’s organizational functions, depending on applicant interests and needs, including: exhibition and event planning, curatorial work, installation, graphics, new media development, fundraising, and administration. The program offers experience in assisting the daily functions of a gallery, as well as exhibition and networking opportunities with members of the arts and non-profit communities in New Jersey and New York.
Internships and volunteer work are unpaid; although, college credit, travel stipends, and additional benefits may be available. Internships typically last from one to six months. Volunteer work can be occasional or ongoing.
